Chatwood is gonna win 17 to 20+ games with a sub 3.25 ERA and it’s gonna be maddening

And cost us at least one winnable playoff game

There is almost zero horsefeathering chance Chatwood starts a playoff game.

What on earth makes you think he'll make the playoff rotation?

Chatwood is only going to make the postseason roster if a SP is hurt

And Smyly is actually dead.

Can anyone figure out what the highest BB/9 is for a qualified starter in modern MLB history?

If my math is correct, Chatwood is currently at 8.8

Going all the way back to 1990, only 14 starters threw more innings than Tyler Chatwood's 2018 (coming into today) and had a worse BB/9. Technically just 12, really, since Dontrelle Willis and Oliver Perez each appear on the list twice.

Hey, it's great that everyone thinks that our run of good luck with pitcher health heading into October will continue, but....

Yes, the house of cards we've constructed assuming Chatwood is not going to make playoff starts being the 5th starter on a team with a better SP rehabbing TJS is quite unstable. Even in the negative outcome he's not starting til the NLCS and making a max of 2 playoff starts. It's okay that you forgot that he'd be out of the playoff rotation as the 5th starter.

The guy with 2 career TJ surgeries who hasn’t topped 158 innings in his career is definitely the guy we should expect to stay healthy over a bunch of guys who’ve shown to be very durable their entire careers.

It’s been the lowest of leverage situations but Wilson looks to be on his way to being a little fixed lately.

Edit: indeed the eye tests matches the stats, might be time to throw him in a leverage spot soon.
