The Rockies, who have gotten a wRC+ of 69 from their 1B position this year and passed on both Daniel Murphy and Matt Adams, have called up 38 year old Matt Holliday and are starting him in LF today.

 

I thought he retired 2-3 years ago. But I guess he's been crushing in in AAA....good for him

Even if we do win the division, it sucks that this run has put the Cardinals in a prime spot for a WC berth, just 1 win away from another NLDS matchup with the Cubs. Not that I'm afraid of them, but I really want to have that playoff series victory bragging rights for as long as possible.
