Good Lord KB is horrible bad at the plate now. Felt good that he got contact in 1st inning, but then another K. Looking like the “Lightning in a Bottle” whiff kings we used to get.

We seem to be taking and swinging through so many fastballs. I know it’s a function of being ready for the curve, but it’s still frustrating to watch.

 

We're not the only team that does it. From a Ben Lindbergh article:

 

Only one starter this season has a higher whiffs/swing rate with his four-seamer than Hill does: Jacob deGrom
