Why are we so mad at Maddon right now?

Pulling Lester with 2 outs and a runner on first, not pulling Carl until 2 batters after it was clear he was bad Carl, letting his closer pitch to 2 extra batters in a 5 run game with Game 5 in 24 hours

probably a lot of that is kind of small stuff. when your best middle reliever completely loses it and nobody on your team can hit good pitching, you're going to struggle.

i'm pretty annoyed that dusty is probably sitting in the dugout thinking he's some kind of genius for pretending that roark was ever going to start this game.

Duensing was ready. Should've pulled him the moment the grand slam was hit.

Theo and Joe gotta get on the same page. Rondon was in good form headed into October and Theo put Wilson on the roster instead of Rondon. But Joe won't use Wilson and he could have used Rondon in the two games they lost. Better put Rondon on the roster if the Cubs make the NLCS.

It's like amazing to see a pitcher that's not Strasburg or Scherzer. Immediately we start making contact. We really got screwed in this series.

The rain giveth and it taketh away

At least we made their 8th inning guy throw 20+ pitches before game 5. I'm sure they will go Gio-Scherzer and then like Strasburg to close it out though

Worst game of the year for KB. Awful Awful ABs

KB had one swing today and it was the huge uppercut swing. But Strasburg pitched him really tough with some nasty changes in counts that are typically fastball counts.

Still trying to figure out how Taylor hits a grandslam off our closer in these conditions. Ugh.

He hit it hard, but I think the wind shifted. Next batter fouled one down the LF line that he didn't exactly crush and it went nearly HR distance.

Taylor has hit pretty well this series. Their best hitter right now.

also balls carry a lot farther this year for some reason that has absolutely nothing to do with major league baseball changing the way that the ball is made.

And he does have pretty impressive raw power that he taps into from time to time. He's not a slap hitter by any means.
