Remember when people were upset about trading Soler for him?

i think that was mostly just david

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was multiple people. But could be wrong.

I remember being nervous about his medicals.

Shout out to Javy, too. We were dead in the water and he got a huge hit with 2 strikes. KB's was the difference. But still 0 outs there. Decent chance we're scoring anyway. Don't want to take anything away from his clutchiness. But that was something a younger Javy isn't doing.

Last year's NLDS counts as younger tho

Went to bed with the Brewers up 3-2 in the 8th and Justin Grimm coming into the game with men on base and only 1 out. There was no way the Cubs were getting out of that inning with no more runs scored.

Same here. I was pissed at Wilson and shut the tv off as soon as the run scored. I woke up to several texts from my buddy saying horsefeathers YES!!! I knew right then they had come back and won. Huge win.

Where's one of those win probability chart thingies for this game? I want to bathe in it.

Not as good as I thought, honestly. Brewers only got up to 88% favorites after the Avila ground out for the second out in the ninth. Doesn't take Baez getting down 1-2 into account, or Davis going 3-1 on Arcia with the bases loaded.

97.8% to win the division.

Damn, I thought we were going to see an almost complete reversal. Ah well; still delicious.

people don't bring this game up much because it wasn't a game of much consequence (i remember it because i horsefeathering left early in the 9th like a jerk and wound up watching the end on TV after taking the train home) but if this isn't the furthest i've seen the cubs come back on the win probability chart, it's up there in the top 2 or 3

can we talk about the carry on that KB home run? How did that happen

[something very smart about launch angles goes here]

Yesterday's hit was similar enough to Javy's Game 4 hit that I half expected Denard Span to jog the ball back in from CF.
