They're right. Hicks is taking a couple plays off here.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like he's come off the field though. Seems like we should be seeing RRH and Bullard more to keep everyone fresh.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is known for his candor, which made his comments about rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky all the more interesting. Asked for his thoughts on Trubisky after the preseason and facing him in practices, Fangio was almost too measured. Of course, the last thing he wants to do is further ignite an already red-hot quarterback debate.

“I saw a guy that improved,” Fangio said. “Definitely made steps and improved. I will say that, and I will limit it to that, but he definitely improved, which is what you want to see.

“Everybody thinks they’re a quarterback expert, and I don’t want to add to that pile of people.”

This is why the run game could be less than elite. If teams can put all eleven defenders in the box, you're not going to be elite at running the ball.

That is not how it works. If a team does that, your running game is badass

This is not a great defense

[expletive]. They've played fine. That was a ridiculously unacceptable play but it doesn't erase 3 quarters of mostly above average play.

The Bears should have called a TO before that snap, they looked really confused so I wasn't surprised when Ryan found someone wide open

No - it means your passing game is non-existent.

Yes it does. And sure, they're fine.
