Remember all those stories from April and May about how every Cub starters' velocity was down from last year?

This one in particular: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/whats-going-on-with-the-cubs/ Relevant paragraph below:

The potential explanation I find the most interesting: This could be something the Cubs are doing on purpose. Two years ago, the Cubs advanced to the NLCS. Last year, the Cubs won the World Series. This year, the Cubs are expected to make another deep run, and they ought to take the NL Central without too much of a fight. Not that a team should ever take anything for granted, but just based on the rosters and the math, these Cubs ought to play more than 162 games. We’re looking at longer seasons, and shorter offseasons. More time spent pitching, and less time spent recovering. Wouldn’t it make sense to open the season by having your starting pitchers try to back a little off?

Given the recent performance from Jake, Lackey, even Hendricks, you guys think there's anything to this?

If the Cubs went 14-14 to finish the year the Brewers would have to go 18-9 and the Rockies 17-11 to outright knock the Cubs out of the playoffs.

Those were the best dance moves of the season. I figured I was gonna miss the dont move when a hard foul ball is hit at you game. I thought that was really funny, but the dancing has been a good replacement

kinda feel bad (for him) that rivera won't make the postseason roster unless something goes horribly wrong.

he's been solid.

he'll get to cheerlead in the dugout i guess
