Yeah it’s cocky and arrogant and if you say stuff like this it opens up to extra criticism (and knowing Yadi/Cardinals probably bean balls and maybe an injury). But privately I bet most guys feel they are the best and better than the best. Lackey probably thinks he’s still a good MLB pitcher and could go head to head with kershaw, Scherzer, etc

Yeah well, that's because Lackey is a crazy horsefeathers. He really should retire, but whatever. Hope he joins the Rockies and gets lit up every start lol.
