BTW, #27???

Corey only played 11 games that year, so he didn't have a regular number. Not sure if he had any others.

How about the Farnsworth fight, or the 2001(?) Guttierez game, the crazy scoring play, ya know to win it.

Don't have the fight. I do have the 2001 finish against the Rockies, but only in audio (by far my favorite Pat and Ron moment). You can find it on my sound page.

That was beautiful, thanks.

btw, I also remember seeing a game in 1996 with a Sammy Sosa walkoff homerun to straight away left field on to Waveland. I was like 11 years old but I still remember it like yesterday, although I have never seen a replay.... do you happen to have that one?

No, sorry. Don't even remember it.

I wonder if Girardi got credit for an RBI on that play. Anyone know?

It's funny but I remember that too. Didn't that break a window too?

hmm, don't remember that... I do remember it being a night game though, and I was fighting my dad to stay up and watch the end of the game. I am trying to remember what team it was against.

Yeah, it was against the Mets early in the year. Harry loved it.

Are you sure it wasn't in '97? The '96 window-breaker was definitely a day game.

Sammy hit a walk-off against LA on Sunday Night Baseball in August '97. A bright moment in an otherwise lame campaign.

yes, it could have been in 1997.

btw Jon, Girardi wasn't given an RBI on the play. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores101/101219/101219329.htm#SCOREBOARD[/url]

Not actually on my site (since it's a video file), but I do have it on my webspace. You can get it here.

You know, listening to that clip is a record for history of just what an annoying simp Chip Caray is. I really really hope WGN doesn't re-up with that deadbeat.

Speaking of Hill, the vid clip I'd love to see was from a game in 78 I believe it was. Kingman hit a moon shot to left-center that landed on Kenmore Avenue, bounced a couple times, and ended up all the way down the block. Now THAT was the longest HR I ever saw at Wrigley.

Wow, THANKS for all of that, Jon!

I think I may have developed a man-crush on Jon. He is just too awesome. Thanks again!

Hmm..........you're welcome........I think. I'll see if I have any more memorable plays later.

WOW! You are amazing.

I can watch these via MLB.tv at MLB.com, but having them on my hard drive is 100 times better

Can somebody who has the video clip of Glenallen Hill's famous rooftop moonshot please re-post it? All the links in this thread are broken considering it's over a year old... thanks!

That rooftop shot still blows me away.

He may have been a one-dimensional guy, but I always liked GAH. I remember his homerun off of John Franco on a Saturday in July of 1998.
