The Phillies have some obnoxious dudes on their club.

Because they're really pumped over getting out of that? Calm down, Buzz.

He would hate 15 Cubs players if he was a fan of another team.

Javy because, lots of stuff

Strop, because of his hat

Contreras, because he's emotional

Lackey, because of everything

Lester, because you're frustrated they don't steal more

Jake, because you think his beard is just for menned

Addy, because he's got the sperm of a champ

KB, because he's perfect

Zobrist, because you hate Christian Rock

Hendricks, because he's too smart to play baseball

Szczur, because you can't spell his name

Almora, because you wish you looked like him

Carl, because you wish you could half as much as him and not be fat

Maddon, because he charms you to death

Ross, because its so obvious everyone hates him

Almora wants that starting job, but Jay sure as hell ain't making it easy

schwarber is trying to give it to him.

NEVER. Besides, David's sig would look all hackneyed

Shut up. Schwarber's still awesome because he's Schwarber. Stats be damned, both advanced and otherwise.

Anyone in AAA worth calling up this weekend to freshen up the pen/make sure guys aren't getting over worked? Maybe DFA Dunsing to make room?

Everyone anxious to dump Duensing may want to slow their rolls a bit and look at some peripherals.
Posted

Today, Lackey's velo was down nearly 2 mph across the board from his last two outings. Eflin's velo was down about 1 mph across the board from all of his previous starts, too.

Lackey's now made 3 starts on the road, in which the average velo on his four-seam fastball has been at least 91.6 mph in all of them. In his 3 starts at home, his average velo hasn't been above 90.6 mph in any of them.

I said Duensing more as a question as who would be moved to make a move, not saying I want him to go. Just he probably makes the most sense. What peripherals, as a 32 year old, are worth getting excited about in his 8 innings of work this year? I'm not seeing much.

I'm interested to see where Severino is on Sunday. I think he's the fastest throwing guy to make a start in Wrigley this year, off the top of my head, who we will get to track for multiple innings (avg 97 MPH on his FB this year, topped out at 100 and hasn't been below 93.9). He's been between 96.5 and 97.5 MPH every start this year on his average FB velo.

I bet he's "95" on Sunday.

Somewhere Banedon is angry this game didn't get called a tie after 12 innings.

Actually, you're right. I was at the game and freezing my balls off....I was ready for any kind of ending after 12.
