Does Heyward have a no-trade clause?

A limited one.

Do we know anything about it? How many teams, or which teams are rumored to be on it? I'm guessing not...

It’s just the Cardinals a dozen times

you talk about 4th dimensional chess - we just keep having KB tell Bryce that we're working on salary dumps so we can sign him, wait till everyone else has spent all their money, then sign him to a 6/120 deal and trade KB (bitch ass)

If Bryce signs because of (in part) his friendship with KB, does that help the Cubs keep KB down the road cuz he wants to stay with Bryce?

Conversely, if the Cubs can't sign Bryce, does that make it harder for them to retain KB?

Yes and yes.

...but if you ask Boras, the answer is no and no.

No idea what will happen but I wouldnt doubt if Bryce definitely wants to be a Cub.

I met and talked alot of baseball with Harper once. He did say him and KB talk about being in the same lineup "all the time"... this was 2 summers ago.

There's no doubt.

He wants to play with KB.

He wants a legitimate chance at a championship.

He wants the deck of the USS Gerald R. Ford covered three feet deep in $100 bills.

If he can get all three here, he wants to be a Cub.

I know some people who have spoken with KB's dad who say he always tries to play up that they weren't really good friends growing up and it's overblown and blah blah. But maybe they are better friends now. It sure seems like it. And maybe (actually, no, not maybe) KB's dad is just one of those horsefeathers baseball dads (yes, he is).

Why the horsefeathers haven't you made a Twitter account to post that info?

Sidenote: i honestly don't care what a harper signing would do to our chances to sign 30 year old KB to a monstrous deal.

Likely became closer when both went to the big leagues. Harpers wife and Dad were bringing up the Bryants alot as well. The other quip I remember was him wanting to get KB to join him for some international WBC style tournament in Japan in the future.
