If there's one guy I really wish could have seen this, it's Santo. This team was everything to him and it just sucks he didn't get to see his own HOF induction or this. RIP Ron.

That's the biggest bummer for me, too. Really wish we could have seen/heard his reactions to this entire season.

I went to game 5 wearing a Rizzo Shirsey, Cubs Hoodie and my Cubs hat. I wore them for games 6 and 7 even though it was burning me up in the house. You are all welcome

I didn't post in the game threads because I did games 1-4 and the Cubs were down 3-1. Then I didn't in Game 5 and they won....so I had to stick with it.

I took my son to the park Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday until dark (about 7 EST), with me wearing the same thing each day.

I didn't post anything about the game on Facebook.

Of course, I also found a link on my Roku to where I could hear audio from Vasgergian and Buck Martinez instead of Buck/Smoltz. I couldn't find such a link for Game 7 though, so maybe all this is just coincedence and this is a team of destiny.

Best decision I made was listening to the radio broadcast instead of Smoltz and Buck. That was a much more satisfying experience.

I've been at work 20 min and have teared up (but managed to hold it together) at least twice so far.

Same. I think I'm more emotional today than I was last night. The reality is finally hitting me.

My son tried so hard to stay up and watch it with me, but his 8 year-old body just couldn't keep up. He asked Alexa this morning who won the game, screamed his head off, and then played "Go Cubs Go" on repeat. He's 8 and his view of the Cubs is that they are World Series champs. It will be years before he realizes just how lucky he is.

aside from being involved in a near replay of the hillsborough stadium disaster on addison (but still got to see 'world series champions' on the marquee), being around wrigley was absolutely amazing last night

ended up walking from wrigley to lincoln park to get in a cab downtown and cars were laying on their horns the whole way down.
