I mean, I hope after the dust settles and we either win the World Series or get beaten, either now or in the next round, people can keep their perspective and remember what's really important in their lives. Your hobbies, your friends, your families, your passions. All of these things are infinitely more important than the Cubs winning.

The series will be tied in about 25 hours and it'll become a Best-of-3 with two of those at Wrigley.

Everybody calm down.

Two of them started by pitchers we absolutely cannot touch. And that is best case scenario.

Rich Hill may be going through his magical R.A. Dickey phase, but I'm not about to put him in the same boat as Clayton Kershaw.

You know you're in a rut when you get PH for by Jason Heyward... down four runs... with two outs and the bases empty.

And of course Heyward strikes out and looks pathetic doing so.

People are getting wayyyy too bent out of shape over a game.

Yes, it sucks. It would be ideal if we could stomp over everyone like the Indians are. But there's no reason things are going badly right now. horsefeathers just happens and if you try to rationalize it or attribute it to curses or the hands of an angry god, you're going to make yourself very, very miserable.

I fear you have given up on the season. You are starting to rationalize it by telling yourself that it's just a game and that even if the Cubs win it all.........how exactly does anything change? You are starting to think about how weird it is that people get wrapped up so emotionally over something that is just entertainment, and how you'd never walk out of a movie feeling so upset or sad except for the time you saw Marley and Me because you couldn't handle seeing the dog die.

Or, maybe, this is how I've been feeling since the playoffs started because I'm a ninnie who thinks about and analyzes the meaning of life too much.

Well at least that inning probably will restore Robert's faith in Blanton moving forward and hopefully he uses him in high leverage situations the next few games.

I'm starting to feel like it's not about the pitching but just our entire lineup for the most part being in a horrible slump or for some other reason just sucking. I mean, we got dominated by Matt Moore, too, just as much as the really good pitchers. Pretty much every starter has been good against us, and we couldn't even bash Shark that much despite a good start to that game.
