This is even more amazing considering it comes from a Tottenham Hotspur fan.

 

What can I say, I love a good soccer chant.

It's happened again...

 

That one also, though I don't enjoy the context of the instance you're referring to. Obviously less significant but Spurs chanted that after they beat Stoke 4-0 earlier this year.

 

And "He's one of our own" to the same tune. Enjoy that one as well.

This is a big reason I'm happy to have guys like Javy and KB and Rizz and Schwarbs (and maybe Addy?). These are guys who can hit it through the October wind. Posey's was an easy HR in July but died in gail force winds. Be mad about Javy's bat flip if you want but it was 107 mph and 14-18 balls with that angle/speed combo went out this year.

I want javys defense in every game.

Agreed. Match-ups be damned now. I think we shouldn't worry about his bat vs RHP (also had huge oppo shot off Lackey last yr that basically crushed the Cardinals souls) and he should play everyday.

 

Love him at 2B. If a guy basically leads the league in DRS at a position despite playing 800+ less innings than most of the leaderboard, keep him there.

Javy and Schwarber are both 23 and both have 2 iconic postseason dongs already.

 

There are now 16 Cubs in the history of the franchise with multiple post-season home runs. 5 of them are on this team. 4 of them are under 25.

This was only the second time in franchise history the Cubs have won game 1 of a playoff series at home.

 

This was the first time in franchise history they won game 1 of a playoff series at home when they had home field advantage.

I was wondering that as I watched Zobrist go after Posey's double.

I think he should. We might as well make the defense completely airtight in those moments.

 

Yeah, everyone I was with was yelling at the screen when we realized Zobrist was still out there. Totally agreed with the moves Maddon was making in regards to the pitching, but then he leaves Churchy McBibleface out there instead of basically anyone except Soler? Odd.
