I didn't get a chance to post this earlier, but the announcer in the PSU/Pitt game actually said if Penn State didn't get a touchdown here the game was over. it was 1st and goal at the 1 at the time with like 3 minutes left IN THE FIRST HALF. sure, Pitt was up by 21 at the time, but holy horsefeathers

I can't imagine how mad the Oklahoma State coach must be. He makes the right decision (to throw the ball away with no time left on 4th down) and the officials call intentional grounding and incorrectly give Central Michigan that untimed down that they won the game with.

For as long as I have been watching football, I have never seen a replay review after another play has been run. Arkansas just passed to a 1st and goal at the TCU 5, then ran on their 1st down play. AFTER the play is whistled down for a 2 yard gain, the officials go review the 1st down completion to the 5. Overruled (50/50 call), and they take the ball back to the 25. WTF?

Yeah, Tennessee looked awful in the first, but they have looked pretty great so far on the second.

 

I was at the Navy-Uconn game today. Pretty good game, first time I've caught a game in Annapolis. Final score was 28-24 Navy, but Uconn's coach lost the game for his team.

 

Navy scored to go ahead 28-24 with 2 minutes left in the game. Uconn got the ball, drove down the field and had 2nd and goal from inside the 1 with 17 seconds left and the clock was stopped. Their coach used his final timeout for no reason, and called a run play that got stuffed. Clock ran out before they could run another play because there was a pile after the first one.

 

I would be out for blood if I was a Uconn football fan. They had time to throw 3 passes into the endzone, and a timeout left. They wasted the timeout and all their time on one run play.

I was at the Illinois game last night. It wasn't as great of an atmosphere as it was in some big games in the past. But it was way better than anything I have been to in the last few years. I hope Illinois fans are okay with a borderline bowl team this year and still support them. That would do wonders in helping the new staff recruit.

Arizona was losing to Grambling 21-3 at halftime, which was hilarious. The Cats woke up and won by 10 though.
