why does it seem like rizzo's strikeout rate would triple if he always got pitched low and in with 2 strikes

It seems like whenever he's not hitting well he always gets fooled by pitches in that location. And while overall he's been hitting fine the last 4 games he's like 3-20 so possibly going into a bit of a funk

remember when baker made that tshirt making fun of him for swinging at pitches that hit him

He had him on that 2-0. Feliz had no business getting out of that inning with the lead.

he was pretty nasty after the javy double. made szczur/fowler/rizzo look silly

2-for-14 with 10 LOB, and still have 5 runs.

we could definitely use a better lefty bat off the pine to face tough RHP in the playoffs. guess that would be coghlan? or la stella if he's not on strike any more.

I'm a little surprised that Montero wasn't the pinch hitter there, although I can see them not trusting him against Feliz's velocity. In any case I think it's both Coghlan and La Stella that are potential options in the playoffs, since signs are pointing towards only carrying 2 catchers.

When the robot umps come, I want home plate umpires to be forced to call whatever the computer says just to completely embarrass them and remind them how powerless umps are.

(Kinda late response to the [expletive] non-DP but I just got on NSBB.)

I can't believe there's even a debate on whether or not there should be robot umps.

horsefeathers the human factor. This is about creating a fair game.

Umpires can go harness their true talent: pouring concrete and scratching their ass.
