It absolutely reflects on it. This guy was our next-in-line. Not anymore. Now we don't have one. So now all of these pitchers in their thirties have to stay healthy and not lose any juice.

While that is true, other teams aren't like us. We are better than everyone else. So this is what we want. It's the one glaring issue, now that we have Chapman. If we want to be the best, our expectations for a 6th starter need to be more than Travis Wood and Trevor Cahill, who both suck really bad.

We can afford to have a true 6th guy, just using all of them for the rest of the year. We need to guard against injury and also 2nd half Hammel. Who we're counting on Potato Chips as his fix-it. Our rotation could quickly take a turn for the worse and this isn't a year we should allow for it. Especially since it'd likely kill 2 birds with one stone, by helping out further than just this season.
