I know the whole "they are great pitchers so your supposed to struggle" but I'd love to see the Cubs get 4-5 runs off a TOR starter. We did it earlier in the year but since that Nats series we've been shut down pretty consistently (yesterday was promising).

 

Again not the end of the world, but if this is the type of pitcher we're going to be facing 80% of the time in October I want a confidence boost by getting to one.

Will give Lackey credit where credit is due, he's settled down nicely after a rough start in his last 2 outings. I'd prefer he avoided the early implosions but you can't complain with 7 IP 3 ER from your 4th starter

This is one of those arbitrary endpoint things with a dose of small sample size. We've faced quite a few really good pitchers in a short period, a period where we had a number of guys injured and a bunch of young kids taking the majority of our ABs.

 

It's not an actual thing. We'll be fine. Also, Hamels hasn't really pitched like a TOR arm this year, so he doesn't even really fit.

Would that have been a 2 run double if it gets through?
