people have been saying that about Heyward since the beginning of May

Fair. .733 OPS is June isn't too far off his career numbers, and that's with a .277 BAPIP against his career .307. I know BAPIP isn't perfect, but his line drive rate remains strong.

[expletive]!!!!!!!!

As someone who has to follow the game through here more than I'd like, I've gotten pretty good at figuring out what happened through just emotional outbursts. This one has me stumped.

triple f bomb because Fernandez threw one to the backstop that bounced right back to the catcher so Hammel couldn't score

Got it...appreciate the detail. That's the kind of stuff that doesn't show up on the ESPN Gamecast.

Triple F bombs? It would certainly add to Gamecast.

Yeah he had about a 10 game hot streak at the beginning of June but his OPS is .485 over the last 11 games or so

Just catching up on the game thread, and it's a shame the game is already over at 7-0 in the...oh, it's 1-1.

I'm not trying to defend Heyward here. He's been awful. But, this is why cherry picked small sample sizes are stupid. So the only thing that matters is the last 11 games or so, but not the ones before that when he was doing well? Especially since he's been BABIP'd some this series...

thanks for stopping by, dad

No problem, forgot that spastic overreactions and fatalistic predictions were the only point of game threads.
