Are we just facing better pitching or are the scouting reports basically saying don't nibble, just attack them? Just doesn't seem like we are walking at the rate we were earlier in the year.

But we probably walked like 8 times last game and I'm just a moron.

Pitching backwards and challenging them. The Cubs have shown zero ability to adjust to it.

Yeah, the death spiral since they were figured out has been BRUTAL.

Holy [expletive], score some runs. It's the Barves. Good lord.

This offense just hasn't been good for a while now. Since May 15th, a 23 game stretch, they've averaged 4.21 runs per game. During that stretch 13 of those games had 3 runs scored or fewer. Comparatively, 4.21 runs per game would place them 15th in baseball compared to the rest of the teams season long runs per game.

I've got them at 4.35 runs per game in that stretch. But, regardless, things are so horrible that in this arbitrary time frame you've selected, they've still been only average. And we both know why you've chosen this time frame. Let's see, they scored 17 runs in the two games before that, and about a million in the 25 before that. Let's just throw them out, though, because they don't matter. Why are you going all Ski on a 41-17 team?

Ender, Chase, Jace, Adonis and Mallex. The Cubs are being beaten by guys with these first names. This is a low point.

We're wondering if teams have adjusted and are pitching us differently, and we haven't adjusted, or if this is just an extended blip on the radar.

No, you're whining about an historically great team. Your shtick is nauseating.

Regardless, no one should be belittling anyone about getting irked over scoring one run against a mediocre Braves pitcher. Yes, the season has been amazing so far. This particular game has sucked.

These are all things you've said in the last 90 minutes.

I will be upset if we lose a single game against this AAA team.

Can we not have our something like eighth game this year where we suck against a mediocre pitcher? [expletive] is getting really old.

I'm not belittling anyone over getting irked about this game. I am rebuking you for saying things like, "This horsefeathers is getting old." ... and for your general annoying manner.

At worst we're looking at a stretch where the offense is just good instead of amazing. It's not like they're suddenly "un-adjusting" every 2-3 games, so since were not actually not seeing a sustained stretch of struggling offense, I really don't understand stressing out like this game is indicative of a larger, continuing problem. It's a long season and even the best teams have periods where they look mortal, or even bad, and this isn't even the latter right now.

Yeah, this 23-game stretch, which was totally randomly selected has seen us play to a 14-9 record. The horror.

The only thing we should be worried about in this game is Hammel to be honest

He has the one game with leg problems and looked less than stellar today

Just for the record, May 15 was selected because it was the middle of the month, it had nothing to do with skewing stats as I didn't even look at the games prior to May 15.
