Hi Guys-

Longtime fan of this site but first time poster.

I live in LA and will be in town for the cubs / reds game on the 4th of July. I'm going with a big group of ppl and we were thinking about getting rooftop seats.

Does anyone have any experience with any of the following rooftops?

1038 Waveland

3639 Sheffield

3643 Sheffield

Are the views decent / are you able to get into the game the same way / etc

Thanks in advance for your tips!

Awesome...the ones we are looking at are the cubs owned ones, my concern is how accurate the pictures are regarding the views...is it about right? My preference is to be in the park but with a large group its seems next to impossible to get seats together for this game...big group but not enough for group tickets

Also....definitely no pirates troll here! lol

Thanks again!

Don't support any rooftops that aren't owned by the Cubs

especially because you'll likely be looking at the back of a sign and/or video board

This website I believe has pictures of the views for all the Cubs-owned rooftops.

As far as getting into the game, in my experience, while it's always a good time, it's not quite the same as being in the park itself, just because you're a bit more removed from the action.

Bleachers not an option? The rooftop is a fun experience but it's not the same as being in the park. I like both but if I'm from out of town I would definitely rather be inside the stadium.

If the being with the big crowd at Wrigley is more about being with the big crowd, then the rooftops are great. If it is more about being at wrigley, then you definitely want to be in the park.

If the group is big enough you may want to see about renting out the batter's eye clubhouse or whatever it is they are calling it.

I did a party for about 10 people at 3627 Sheffield back in Aug. 2007, Cubs vs. Mets, that was a lot of fun. It was the summer before Noah's first season with the Bulls and he was there with another group. My daughter, who was 8 at the time, was enamored with him and kept bringing him food and drinks.
