In the 8th Heyward had a chance to get a run home with a hit or sac fly/go. He didn't do it. He then got a hit in his next AB. Then Bryant came up having singled in his previous 2 AB and failed and then walked in his next AB.

 

In the 10th, Zobrist had a chance to score the go ahead run with a hit. He had hits in 2 of his previous 3 ABs but failed there.

 

Cluster luck is a bitch sometimes

Over the course of a season, cluster luck will definitely [expletive] you over and now again. It's a bit annoying all the same. Remember the early Cardinals game last year where Rizzo reached base every single PA except late in the game with the bases loaded?
