Booooooooo that this isn't the Sunday night game. Cole vs. Lester and Pirates vs. Cubs is worthy of primetime. Wrigley looks so gd good at night too....

Edit:

OTOH Game of Thrones and Penny Dreadful. Alright, I can wait until summer and fall.

We are the Sunday night game against San Francisco next week, if it makes you feel any better.

Pending the outcome of this game and the Cardinals game, we could have a 10(!!!!!) game lead in the division in mid May.

Cubs currently have 5 of the top 30 hitters in MLB by fWAR and 5 of the top 30 pitchers in MLB by fWAR.

I think a team is going to do this every time they face Lester and they never do.

The Cubs have done a good job making things difficult by having Baez play third and Ross help try to control the running game, but the Pirates seem like they have enough speed and bunting ability (just talking out of my ass on the bunting part) to pretty much bunt right in front of Lester and watch him stand there.

Today is my birthday. I demand a victory of epic proportions and I'd like a Baez dong if that's not to much to ask.

I'm starting to really like this whole Baez at third and Bryant in left thing.

Yep. This is the optimal lineup, at least until Soler stops being terrible.
