Guys... I don't know how to act anymore. The city of Chicago hasn't seen anything like this since the 90's Bulls.

2013 (shortened season) blackhawks

Well, as far as a single season, maybe. But I was speaking more to the dynasty aspect. We aren't going away anytime soon.

I'm 26, and the Cubs have had a few good years in my lifetime. But, we have never been set up to be good for an extended period of time.

Yes. The 3-title Blackhawks don't count as a dynasty, but the Cubs working on their second playoff appearance do.

I'm gonna pull my hair out.

I did NOT say that the horsefeathering Blackhawks were not a dynasty. He was referring to a specific season, and I was responding to his comment.

The Hawks are obviously as close to a dynasty as we have seen in the NHL for some time.

Haha, what? The Blackhawks are a dynasty already. The Cubs are a hopeful one.

I know. But he referenced a specific season, not a time period.

He referenced a season where the Blackhawks began with 24 games without losing. Then you tried to say "yeah but dynasty", which is ALSO a thing the Blackhawks are. Your argument makes no sense.

I don't even have an argument.

i guess it sounds bad (especially to the meatball crowd), but it's really easy to concuss yourself or griffey your wrist if you go into that wall at full steam. he's way too valuable to hurt himself on a play like that.

Yeah, I'm not saying he's wrong.

Maybe I should have chosen my words differently. What I was trying to say is that this new Cubs era is going to be the biggest "deal" in Chicago since the Bulls.

I never said the Hawks weren't a dynasty. Honestly, they could win the cup 5 years in a row and it wouldn't equate to one Cubs world series.

Why would you keep going on this?

Why would you quote my post and perpetuate the situation?

What a great start, I agree the record should equal the pythag at 25-4 but them's the breaks I guess. Let's go 79-54 to finish off at a cool 102-60 record. Too conservative??

54 more losses sounds like too much to stomach
