5 no-hit innings and they call the game. And he will be nice and fresh to get a third consecutive no-no his next start.

pretty disappointed in strop costing us that spot in the top 5 all time run differentials

The good thing is that we are good enough that we will have a chance to hit that benchmark at several different intervals this season.

A little less wind and a little younger Aaron Hill, and I've had gone to bed angry.

We also would have had like 4 more runs from a Dex and a Rizzo homer each

Good game to grit out, even against a garbage team

A little less wind and Fowler has a grand slam earlier so that would have cut the lead to 2 or 3.

Fowler and Rizzo both had balls held up too that if they weren't HRs both would been rbi doubles or triples.

The top-5 RDs after 21 games are 91, 86, 84, 73 and 71.

This sucks. You guys got me as concerned about RD as wins-losses. We could win rest of the games from here on out, but if the RD isn't historic, I won't be satisfied.

Second best 20-game start for the Cubs since 1900. Only one better was 1907, when they started 16-4. They've started 14-6 on six occasions.

Related note, I was wondering when the 1906 team got so hot, since they also started 14-6, so I looked up the schedule. At one point, they were 68-30, which was a pace of 105.4 wins. They then finished 48-6, including a stretch of 37-2 with winning streaks of 11, 14 and 12.

I remember when the 2016 Cubs started 15-5 only to finish 135-7 to finish the season. It was a really terrible first 20 games.

What happened to the other 20 games?

We played them. "Finish with a 135-7 stretch" is what he was going for there.

Aye. I'm slow - thanks.
