It's April and we have a four game lead in the division lol

Got a shot to be 15 games over .500 come May 1st.

Anything that makes the Cardinals have to be horsefeathering sellers at the deadline would make me happy

I'm kind of hoping they're stupid like the Yankees were for a few years and would rather try to remain as good as possible even when they have no hope of making the postseason.

What are the Reds pitching staff numbers vs us this year?

04/11 - 04/22 IP H R ER BB K HR BB/9 K/9 HR/9 WHIP ERA
Oppt 33.0 40 38 34 28 25 8 7.64 6.82 2.18 2.06 9.27

I felt bad for a second then remembered my old boss the Reds fan.

Absolutely this, and I could see that. The fall from grace could be glorious. No rebuild, just fade into suck,

I don't know, they do have Hazelbaker. Is our young core really any better?

This little nugget from the ESPN writeup:

Cubs fans bristled that their "Try Not To Suck" T-shirts weren't allowed at Busch Stadium this week because of the Cardinals' long-standing policy prohibiting shirts with the word. Cubs manager Joe Maddon came up with the slogan and designed the shirt to raise money for his foundation. The dust-up resulted in a spike in sales of the $30 shirts, with $56,000 raised in the last two days. That puts the season total over $500,000 from shirt sales.

The worst thing about the site crash is not being to recall the WHAT'S WROG WITH THIS SITE thread.

MLB.com video highlights of this game are weird. 6 Reds highlights (including a random meangless Heyward strikeout in the 5th) and 3 Cub highlights.

I've got a couple of these and yes they are better.

I think the "enough already" comment was a continuation of his rant about Cubs fans chanting "let's go Cubbies" during the top of the ninth, not in response to all the hits. He was clearly butthurt about the vociferousness of the Cubs fans in attendance.

Either way it was a sad and petulant little tantrum.

oh my. i already loved the "enough already" comment from thom via David's post. But, given the context it's even more glorious. thanks, raisin.

HOW DARE THESE CUB FANS CHEER THEIR TEAM! IT RUBS THOM THE WRONG WAY

I've read a lot of Reds fans moaning about "all these bandwagoning Cubs fans" in GABP, as if Cubs fans haven't been coming there en masse since the place opened. What actually bothers them is that the Cubs fans stand out because place is 2/3 empty due to their own fans being fair weather chumps, and their team sucks.

I, for one, am extremely disappointed in Fred for not getting the new game thread up yet.

You're such a dildo.

Seriously, this is the kind of tantrum an 8 year old would have

I get why Thom would be a Reds homer. His dad has worked there a long time and he's been a broadcaster for them for some time but i find it weird that he hates the Cubs considering i have memories of him being a cubs announcer.

it's actually bukie's turn but he probably didn't realize it (since the cubs won and having a turn start after a cubs win would be unusual) because you fucked up the whole process by missing your turn twice (in part because, as you explained it, you fell asleep in the 9th inning of a cubs no hitter) and leaving fred no choice but to skip your turn.
