What in the world is going on?

I think the Cubs approach at the plate doesn't work as well when pitchers are not nibbling.

I think your anecdotal evidence is more than likely wrong and you will see this Cubs team dong many teams to death when they keep pounding the strikezone.

That will be the hope, G-money. That will be the hope.

The book is now pound the zone against this lineup because they don't swing early in the count. Time for Mallee to do his job and point that out.

It's kinda hard to paint the corners like Leake has done, especially when he is getting that much on the outside of the plate. If it were that easy, then, yeah, being patient isn't really a virtue. But since it is hard to consistently throw strikes right on the edges of the zone, then I'd rather keep a patient approach.

And pound the right handed batters box if a lefty is up, get it called a strike.

do I have to watch all of Bryce Harper's at bats tonight? if so, why?

Because he's one of the premier athletes that deserves a live look in on his performances for a channel (that i usually hate) like espn that caters to a national audience.

Hasn't he donged in like 4 straight games?

Fowler had every right to watch those pitches in the last AB, they were as close to 50/50 pitches as you will see and he could literally do nothing with them had he swung
