Shouldve been Jorge Soler: Dongs Down Your Throats!

Edit: Three hearted posts in 10 minutes should be enough to overturn the post title to my above suggested title.. plus it would piss Cardinals fans off even more...

Why not? Another donging behemoth. Seriously, it absolutely is a mind horsefeathers that no other teams EVEN NOW are taking Theo's lead on hoarding hitting.

29 horsefeathering idiot GM's are still sitting at the fire swapping 100 pitching prospects that 3 of them will pan out, while Theo is busy writing his memoirs, titled horsefeathers Pitching.

Let's not lose sight of how if I can fix this thread title, surely David can fix Heyward by removing him from his sig. Maximize the domination.

is Jorge above replacement level yet? maybe pump the brakes a tad here

Barely. And his D and injuries likely will preclude him from becoming anything more than an average starter. But if he plays well the rest of the season, he's a damn good trade piece, considering he's not even a true starter for us.

I thought I saw somewhere that we are like 4th or 5th in HRs in the NL..

That was surprising considering we have 2 guys in the race for most NL HR's and seems like we are deep in HR hitters too. I think we have 5 over ten already? Which is pretty solid in this run environment.

As far as HRs go, we've actually been a bit disappointing outside of Kris,Rizzo and Ross. Which is why I'm so optimistic about what the offense could become. There's still so much more room for improvement with Soler, Russell,Javy,Contreras, etc. Most likely none of them touch 20HR. In a couple seasons I think they'll all do it on a regular basis.

I could see javy getting hot and maybe getting there depending on playing time. He's at 12 right?

Georgie is still going to become the Donging Adonis that he is destined to be and all you guys are gonna look back on this thread like the Arrieta trade thread and realize you were all woefully wrong.

As good a time for a bump than any, posted in May

Soler's last calendar year: 260 PA, .261/.361/.518/.879, 23% K%, 13% BB%

Schwarber's MLB career: 309 PA, .251/.359/.521/.880, 28% K%, 13% BB%

why do i see such different numbers on baseball reference? do you have playoffs added in?

Yes, playoff numbers are added in for both. Although both were incredible in the playoffs so the closeness of their numbers wouldn't deviate too much if you discarded the playoffs.

Wow yes. This post right here. Please give me a righty and lefty facsimile of the same mashing .880 OPS player.

So he's a young, cost effective, Alfonso Soriano. If we could finagle a young SP out of that (Rays, Indians, I'm looking in your direction,) I'd be all about it.

I don't know what is worst about this post, but I'll start with

IF he were a young cost effective Alfonso Soriano, this is something you'd be happy to move? (particularly for a horsefeathering pitcher?)

Yeah, if anything TT's post just makes me think we might all be breathing a sigh of relief in a next few years that we didn't trade him away.
