I need to remind myself that he's been out for awhile. It's his first game back. But this has been vintage, ugly Javy.

 

Eh. I think it looks like somewhere between 2014 Javy and 2015 Javy. He's layed off some pitches that he would have hacked out in September 2014

I've been quite impressed by Jorge, though. He's laying off all the junk. He's working deep counts and accepting walks. He's making his usual hard contact. Now he's elevating the ball again. And to think, what, five days ago, we were set to dub him as the new Piss Break.

I was unaware of that rule; I thought the runner could do pretty much anything as long as they don't touch the ball or fielder.

Wainwright got smoked. Reds dumpster fire bullpen will try and blow it

Already gave one back. You almost have to try to put together a bullpen as bad as the Reds have. Which I guess they are.

Shouldn't this be one of those times where they "save some bullets" by getting Arrieta out of the game?
