They have definitely played that video at Wrigley a few times this season. It's hilarious.

They played it during the Cubs broadcast in July, too.

I like the idea of unleashing Kyle upon the Indians at the best moment. Esp if Miller already pitched but I'm also not afraid of that matchup.

In that sense he's even more dangerous since when and how to use Miller is a big part of their strategy and they won't have the luxury of knowing when and where Schwarber will make that PH appearance. Speaking of Miller, they will have a hard time getting 2 innings + out of him unless they are willing to send him to the plate.

Yeah, please don't compare Schwarber to Gronk -- that comparison is horrible. Schwarber has charisma and heart. Gronk is just a complete buffoon who reminds me of Rodman ...

So screaming "suck my dick" after getting a hit isnt a little buffoonish?

No...it's a joke among teammates.

Gronk lovable? holy hell no. he's a huge friggin turd likely teetering on a huge date rape scandal

For a Patriots TE, that's pretty loveable, comparatively speaking.

Outstanding.

Cubs officials also invited Schwarber to observe their draft process in June, allowing him to sit in as they gathered in an unfinished section of the new underground clubhouse in Wrigleyville.

“We got him a computer,” Dorey said. “He had access to all of our analytics. We had the video up. I asked him questions about catching. We asked questions about guys he played against.

“A lot of the pitchers that we were considering – in the Big Ten especially – we’re like: ‘Kyle, what do you think?’ He’d be like: ‘This guy sucks, man.’

“He was just so invested in it. He was so into it. Even for the better part of four or five days – and during the actual draft – he sat in there and he (found) a couple guys that he really liked. He was like: ‘Man, I’m just trying to get my guy.’

“There was a hitter (he really liked). I’m like: ‘Kyle, dude, we’re not taking many hitters.’”

"Let me straighten up here a little bit..."

Yeah, Gronk spent his days in high school making fun of guys like this. I don't get the comparison at all.

Reason Javy is better than Kyle: Javy knows he can't dance.

A quick reminder that we get to witness this story continue tomorrow night. Schwarber as Mr. November.

I'm the new blue-blood

I'm the great white hope

I'm the new blue-blood

I won't horsefeathers us over, I'm Mr. November

I'm Mr. November, I won't horsefeathers us over

It'd be awesome if he used that as his walk up music.

i remember being sad about the schwarber injury after it happened, and thinking how if we won the world series it would always be a little bit of a bummer that he wasn't involved. what ended up happening was completely unfathomable at the time. seriously, we just witnessed that.

No big deal, he just came back and hit .412 in the World Series. Oh and he reached base literally half the time he came up to bat. Oh and he also had a lead-off single that led to the go-ahead run in a tie game in extra innings of Game 7. Oh and he also stole a horsefeathering base, for good measure.

I said it in the game thread. Major kudos to the Cubs management for having the faith to bring him back. That was a wildly "outside the box" thinking type of move and I don't think we win the World Series without him.

Funny guy you are. I picked the three best historical hitters IMO and Banks for some Cubs flavor. Apologies if the presence of Cobb rustles you, Goony. I'll change it and put David Kelton on there.
