It's pretty wild. Even before they started losing, the underlying numbers weren't good but they didn't suggest anything like this could happen.

If City won each of their 20 remaining games, they'd end up with 88 points, which would be enough to win only 1 of the last 8 EPL titles. Liverpool would also need 47 points from 21 games in that scenario to still win the title and they've picked up 42 from 17 so far.

I desperately starting searching for a stream when I saw Spurs go to extra time and were forced to bring in Son, but they scored and I couldn’t find a stream so I just settled for looking at highlights on Twitter like this:

In 2019 Spurs fired Poch after 12 games with the team in 14th despite him leading them to the UCL final 5 months prior, coming off league finishes of 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, all while not doing anything in the transfer market for 3 straight windows. And yet Ange gets to keep hiding behind the "oh we've got injuries" excuse. Dude needs to go. He had a good 10 games to start last season and they've sucked since then. 5 points in 9 games. Burnley is in 3rd in the EFL Championship despite scoring only 39 goals in 33 games, which is tied for 12th out of 24 teams. How are they in third? Well they've allowed 9 goals this year. In case you don't feel like doing the math, that means that in Burnley's 33 league games this year there have been 48 goals total. They've had 11 games end 0-0 this year. They haven't allowed a goal in the league in 11 straight games, which dates back to Dec 26. They haven't allowed 2 goals in a game all year. The record for fewest goals allowed in a season in the Championship is 30.

So two of Club Brugge, Lille, Aston Villa and Dortmund will make the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, two of Real (I assume they advance), Bayern, Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid will go out in the R16.

Also, either Liverpool or Barcelona is going to get Benfica in the R16 and one of the Brugge group in the QF. The other one will get PSG in the R16. So depending on who avoids PSG, one of Liverpool/Barca should have a relatively easy path to the semis.
