Interesting - Brazil, Switzerland and Serbia were all in the same group in 2018 also. That seems improbable

France is the same. Their group was Denmark, Peru and Australia in 2018. This year they have Denmark, Tunisia and whoever wins the playoff between Peru and Australia.

maybe with all the constraints and the same teams, it's not that improbable.

what a waste of a window.

So you don't think playing El Salvador and Grenada twice each will help us prepare for England, Iran and UEFA qualifier?

All of the Nation's League tournaments are dumb, albeit for different reasons. For us specifically, as you said, it's a colossal waste of time and largely doesn't help us get better as a team.

FWIW I think it's only 2 or 3 games in that window, with the others in March, the specific schedule hasn't been announced yet. They'd have other openings for the June window and the September window too. Also, I'm not sure a low-intensity friendly against a non-WC team is all that much better for preparation than a competitive game against El Salvador(Grenada, sure that's a walkover).

Our plan is the most GGG plan, ever. Basically they are structuring the timing of the Nations League group games and the friendlies to mimic the same window as three group stage games and a round of 16 knock out game.

yea, June is a four game window since there is no club soccer in Europe. Makes it a little better . . . Uruguay would be a nice opponent.

The quality of the opponents technically makes a huge difference and the athleticism. Don't want to be playing teams we can just run by . . .

Everton is definitely going down now, just looking at their remaining schedule. Why did I hitch my wagon to this horsefeathers show 15 years ago?

well horsefeathers

Is this a scheduled tweet that goes out every 6 weeks? Not to make light of the injury which really sucks but I'm having deja vu

Great week for me in the race for 4th. Spurs win twice, Arsenal loses twice, ManU picks up 1 point from two games, including losing at Everton, and West Ham loses to Brentford.

There are still 3 H2H games left between the four teams (Arsenal at Spurs, ManU at Arsenal, Arsenal at West Ham) plus each team still has at least one game against the top-3 (ManU and West Ham have 2).

Should be a fun last few weeks.

As for top of the table, City-Liverpool was a fun game. Liverpool has the slightly tougher run in but I don't think anyone would be surprised if either team wins out.

Yeah, feels like Man City missed a chance to all but bury Liverpool, especially since it was at home and Liverpool didn't play all that well.

I think it was a pretty fair result but like you said, Man City will definitely feel worse about it. A win today and they could have blown one of their 7 remaining games and still won the title.

Shout out Wisconsin. Month later and Jesse Marsch is the hottest coach in England, and now American managers are going to get overrated, like our players post-Pulisic.

Leipzig doesn't miss him.
