Looking at England's 23 for the Euro's reminds me that we don't have the monopoly on dumb roster construction. Taking Sturridge AND Rashford and a perma-broken Jack Wilshire over Drinkwater and Townsend is just dumb. Now they have 5 forwards and 1 DM (Dier) on that roster.

 

What Liverpool and England see in Jordan Henderson is beyond me and Ross Barkley hasn't done anything in at least 2 years to warrant selection. Raheem Sterling also doesn't deserve to go on form.

Pep isn't wasting time. City signed Ilkay Gundogan today and he's pretty much exactly what Pep needs to turn that team into a much smarter, much more versatile lineup.
