All that does is make a gimmick which 3-3 really is even more important than it should be.

The only thing close to fair is, 3 points for a regulation win, 2 points for some sort of OT/ shootout win, 1 point for some sort of OT/loss loss and 0 for a regulation loss.

Meh, I'd rather have 3-on-3 than a shootout or 5-on-5 OT. If it was a 5 minute 5-on-5 OT, most games would get decided in ties. While I am fine with ties, I want to limit the number of ties overall. Again, I don't think there is even a chance for a consensus on this, everyone has their own opinion on how it should be.

Babcock didn't have to give Reimer the Patrick Roy treatment. Don't often see a goalie allowed to stay in for 7 goals.

Leafs are definitely trying to lose, but things got a little out of hand last night.

Q knew it and took his foot off the gas. Reminds me of my senior year of high school when one of the Crystal Lake schools was beating our ass so bad their coach took a player off the ice. So even when we did score to make it 12-1 or 14-2 or whatever, you can't even celebrate.

A couple weeks ago, I was filling in as coach for my 7 yo son's soccer coach. The other team looked like they were all 7 year olds. This kid on our team, Zach, who's probably already turned 10 scored about 6 goals to make the score 8-0. I took him out and said something to the effect that we didn't need to score any more goals. He said something to the effect that "I can't slow my roll." and when I put him back out there he scored 4 more goals. I felt bad about running up the score on them.

Yeah, why is a 10 year old playing with 7 year olds? Is there not age based divisions?

The league is 7-9. My son just turned 7. That kid was 9 when the league started. My son looks like he's 3 compared to the other kids. It's insane but it happens pretty much all the time in small town rec leagues. It sucks too since it almost always works out that there's 4 teams: One is full of ringers and wins every game by 10 goals; one team is full of the youngest and or worst kids and loses every game by 10 goals; the other 2 teams are either about evenly matched or one always beats the other. No matter which team your kid is on it basically sucks.

Plus he took slightly less money than two other teams to play for the Hawks. The Blues were one of the teams he turned down.

Also, Bob McKenzie mentioned the Hawks might be in on bringing Ladd back. I wonder what the price would be for a rental? Hartman? Don't think Bowman want's to part with a 2016 1st round pick as they don't have a 2nd rounder.

Things the Hawks are not good at: outdoor games

Things the Hawks are good at: everything else

Yup, 1-3 now. And Jan 2, 2017 another at Busch Stadium.

I have complete outdoor game fatigue. I didn't even watch yesterday, just followed on my phone just like any other game where I had something to do during it.

And now another one? Blah. It is fun watching Wild and now Blues fans get excited about their outdoor games while Hawks fans are completely indifferent.

I'm still hoping that Stanbo can pull off another surprise, undervalued defenseman from somewhere ala Johnny Oduya a few years ago. Nobody saw that trade coming but it really paid off.
