ND is out unless Oklahoma or Iowa lose next week. This is a pathetic performance.

Don't count yourself out. OU hasn't looked very good without Mayfield.

Posted
Clemson, Bama, OU if they win next week at 3, whoever wins the Big Ten if it's unbeaten Iowa or a 1 loss OSU/MSU at 4, ND 5.

so why is the ND vs. BC game, which is being played IN BOSTON, a home game for ND?

ND has been playing 1 home game a year at some other place for 6 years. Did same thing with Maryland at FedEx 4 years ago

Stating that they do something is not explaining why it is done

Why do they do anything? Because they can. It's called the Shamrock Series, they wear alternate uniforms, and they "bring the ND game experience across the country". And it gives NBC an extra prime time game without ND having to host it, which they're not crazy about doing.

How is that arrogant? It's an old school barnstorming that allows them to play in other cities for free exposure to recruits across the country. Was it arrogant when Michigan State, Kansas, Kentucky, and Duke basketball played in the United Center last week? And please don't answer.

I mean, I'm sure the sports-starved citizens of Boston appreciated the gesture though

I wonder if there's even a single Notre Dame fan in Boston, MA. I bet the turnout was pretty embarrassing.

That's probably the most ND arrogant idea I've heard Ina while, and that's saying something

Why does this bother you so much? I hate ND as much as the next guy but if they want to have home games in other locations and they can fill a stadium then good for them.

besides having a home game in the same city as your opponent is located may or may not put them at a competitive disadvantage. Certainly doesn't give them a strong home field

And Mississippi State is going to be out of there next week after Ole Miss creams them. Florida can and should go all the way out after FSU and Alabama destroy them the next 2 weeks. Tide will end the season without a top 20 win, I think.

That SEC commenter dude that goes on ESPN said that Bama should be #1 over Clemson because they destroyed their cupcake FCS team when their other conference breathen struggled and/or lost to theirs

It looks like Les is gone from LSU. His $15M buyout? No problem.

The source said Miles' future at LSU is not tied to the outcome of the Tigers' game against Texas A&M on Saturday at Tiger Stadium. "It will have no bearing on what we do with him", the source said.

The $15 million dollar buyout clause in Miles' contract will not be a hindrance for TAF, the athletic program's powerful booster club that funds a lot of the athletic programs for LSU, according to the source. "The money is there", the source said.

I'd take him and all his baggage if he'd coach at Illinois.

In a heartbeat. That place is such a dumpster fire right now though, I'm not sure even dump trucks full of cash make it happen.

Oh, and Ole Miss will def lose to Miss State. Home team has won that game like 28 of the last 30 times or something.

I wasn't comparing Alabama to ND. I never once brought up ND. Alabama is obviously better than they are. I don't know why fans aren't allowed to have opinions about unrelated teams without their own being brought up.

And not that you care, but ND is going to have at least 2 and possibly 3 (don't know whether Temple and/or Pitt will jump in). And Stanford would be another in the unlikely event ND wins that game.
