For fun, I went back and looked up the 13 PAs with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs this weekend.

 

The Cubs were 4-12-1 at getting the run home (I'm calling a walk with runners at the corners that doesn't score a run a neutral outcome)

 

3 of the times we succeeded it was on a base hit, the other time it was Castro grounding into a DP today.

 

The times we failed:

 

-popout

-fielders choice

-5 strikeouts

-foul out

 

So overall 33% rate of getting the run home, which is only slightly worse than our season average of 41%.
