as much as i recognize how good hendricks is and like him, i still get irrationally fearful having him go up against the 2nd best offense in baseball on an 80 degree august day at Wrigley

That's the lineup the rest of the way except sub in good Baez.

Unfortuantely, that may not exist. It'll be La Stella.

CUBS are 15-10 (.600) when the temperature is 80 degrees or above.... 45-38 (.542) when it's less than 80

Go CUBS !!

The Cubs are 50-20 this year when they score at least 3 runs.

Also of note, since they got no-hit by Cole Hamels, the Cubs have scored at least 3 runs in 11 of 12 games. In those games, they are 9-2.

My sympathies to Ross and his family

i'm such a piece of crap

the first thought i had when i saw that was "oh no i hope that doesn't take schwarb out of the lineup"

but i guess they can just move him back there if montero needs to leave

Coghlan is the one who has to worry about LaStella, not Baez. Unless his D is brutal he'll start against right-handers. Baez might be the RH platoon option.

On the subject of LaStella... Vizcaino is averaging 97.3 with an 0.66 ERA.

Dontrelle Willis must still be mad that the Cubs cut him. He just predicted the Cubs miss the playoffs. He has the Pirates winning the Central

The Big Hurt had our backs though
