5 HR in 294 ABs for Soler. If you would have told me he's play a majority of the season and hit less than 20 HRs I would have laughed at you

Someone with as much power as Soler should have way more than 5 HRs in August, even with his DL stint.

We would be so good if Soler would even be average and not [expletive] awful

Assuming they are going to be committed to Schwarber mostly at catcher next year I really want them to go after 1 of Upton/Heyward along with resigning Fowler

This. That kind of production out of RF is unacceptable.

Would CJ be that much worse than Motte? Yeah he's gonna be wild, but wouldn't you rather have wild at times but with awesome stuff rather than just straight fastballs? Especially if we are gonna have Motte pitching in not "that" high leverage of spots? Edited by Cubswin11

Soler has the rookie excuse right now, but that'll drop off by next year. We'll need to look for someone else if he can't maintain a .750 OPS, given his potential.

Easier said than done, of course.

Motte has not been the problem here.

He hasn't been good lately, not just picking on this game
