Frustrating loss especially with the defense problems early. But the good news is we can swiftly make up for it with some good play the next 4. Offense has a pulse again and the good 4 pitchers are going. I like our chances

Im really at a loss how you found that game frustrating. They showed life the entire night.

You hand over 2 runs on defensive miscues and you lose by 2, that's how

Exactly. It was a winnable game against a team we could have pulled to within 2 games of WC1. it's not a devistating or upsetting loss by any means but I found it more frustrating than the average game.

Just not a fan of Haren's at all. I'd rather send Wada out there and pray he doesn't get hurt. That 3.49 ERA/4.72 FIP suggests that even more regression is coming.

I convinced myself that he only needs to be better than Beeler/Richard to be of value. But I'm not convinced after seeing him pitch today that he's better than Wada.

FWIW you can pitch with Harens velocity and be successful. But it was his control - it was all over the place. You CANT pitch with that velocity up in the zone.

I don't really care about this start, just don't understand what the front office sees in him. I mean they DID get him for free basically so it's not the end of the world but his FIP suggests that he could be a disaster.

It's just building depth. They gave up close to nothing. They wont lose any sleep at night if Wada takes his spot.

Definitely not upset about the loss last night, but it would be nice if some of the contenders would go on a cold streak so our hot streak would do more damage. That said, the extra buffer of the Nationals falling behind us because of their cold streak is much appreciated.
