i am still baffled that todd frazier has somehow turned into in-his-prime mike schmidt.

He's been good to really good the previous 3 years thru this year now (age 26-29 seasons) the power surge is somewhat abnormal this year. But it's not like he didn't have power going into the year and when you factor in age, his home park and just baseball being baseball it's not that baffling.

Lorenzen has every right to be annoyed, you could argue he threw Fowler 4 or 5 strikes in that at-bat

meh, he always had really good stuff, just a matter of controlling it.

 

frazier was always a pretty good player. it's just the power surge that is confusing. i don't think he ever profiled as a 40 home run hitter.

i guess i'm used to some of our guys standing right over the plate but i have no idea how schwarber gets to anything on the outer part of the plate

Damn it. Line shot right at someone.

 

Really impressed with Schwarber being able to battle back into that AB after a lousy first 2 swings.

I thought the exact same thing when he assumed his position in the box that past PA
