CUBS are 29-9 (.763) when they score 4 runs or more.... 12-26 (.316) when they don't

CUBS are 25-15 (.625) when they hit at least 1 HR.... 16-20 (.444) when they don't

I'm guessing Pat requested it. I think he likes having the inning off of play by play.

 

Yep, exactly. He's said this verbatim on air.

As a former aspiring play by play announcer, I would never let this happen. I would be way too worried that I'd miss calling the best moments in a particular game.

If you told me in the offseason that I'd see that line on gameday this season, I'd assume our record was a lot worse than six games over .500.

Marlins sweep the Giants.

If we can win the non-Roach starts, that'd be excellent and I'd take whatever happens Saturday.
