David Ross hits .150 against LHP.. Hit .228 against lefties last year.. On what planet is that even OK?

David Ross has 15(16 now) plate appearances against LHP this year, we can comfortably ignore that. Last year he hit .228/.318/.491 against them and has a career OPS against LHP of about .750. This is far better than what we can expect from Coghlan, even more so when the pitcher himself has a huge platoon split.

ok fine then don't give him 5x more PA against RHP than LHP. Stop this silly personal catcher crap against RHP.

The Ross hate remains really weird.

You can't be serious

he's decided this is his thing.

Ross is good at defense. good at popups, groundouts, and strikeouts. and good at making lester feel comfortable.

he isnt very good against lefties let alone righties last year this year or almost any year. at least coghlan has pop..

i remember when i liked the fowler signing. those were the days

edit: i mean trade

go have a look at luis valbuena's numbers and you'll feel better.

luis valbuena has a .161 babip

Coghlan's defense may have very well been a large factor in the loss. I feel most LF make the play on Brantley's double in the first and that horrible throw on Gomes...

Montero's defense wasn't especially helpful tonight either.

3 behind Pittsburgh, 7 behind St. Louis

1 ahead of SF (assuming they hold on). Who the [expletive] cares about Pittsburgh? I'll worry about them in September if we are close in the standings. Absolutely no need to worry about this at all in June

Really would've been nice to take that one going into a series with the Twins who are now feeling better about themselves with back to back wins over the Cards. They're still not scoring much though so hopefully the bats will bounce back.

Along with a HR/FB rate that's double his career average.
