Seriously, is Rizzo getting HBP on purpose? Seems to happen to him with fair regularity.

He stands on top of the plate

is rizzo standing closer to the plate this year? unless pitchers are trying to pound rizzo inside moreso than last year, it's really bizarre how often he's getting hit Edited by Thed Hoyerstein

His front leg and arm/elbow are essentially sitting on the inside corner of the plate this year. Don't think it's on purpose, just when pitchers are trying to throw inside he's so close to the plate they have no room for error

niese really almost 40 pitches and only the 4th

To be fair, we made a lot of hard contact that inning.

Piss break!

Indeed. That's exactly what I was doing. I'm sure it was as boring as a dong can be.

Naw he pimped the [expletive] out of it. Swag for days.

Holy [expletive], just starting the 5th & Wood already at 80+ pitches

Last inning for him, you think? Especially if he serves up at least another HR.

Really nice play by Bryant, runner was just a bit too fast.

Good effort by Bryant, but man does he have a long load time.

JD seemed to disagree.

Yeah he seemed to get that out pretty quick

He definitely did. That was a really slick play.

Wood is done. Problem is that I don't see his stuff playing in the bullpen. So when Wada is up next week, can you really afford to carry two deadweight ex-starters in the bullpen?

He's a big dude, a lot of him to load

He was also making a sliding effort and ended in a bit of an awkward position to get set. He seemed quick enough all things considered. Real strong throw, too.
