im growing used to the new layout. Haven't had a chance to see it on a laptop yet, as mine is being fixed right now

Is it just my faulty memory, or is it a feature in Tapatalk that when posts are quoted, the names of the quoted author(s) are omitted? I thought pre upgrade the most recent post authors post and name were included.

Found a link that shows how to move the profile information (avatars, etc) to the right, but it's something Tim would have to change for the entire style....maybe this could be done for subsilver? :D

BTW, thanks for all the work you put into the updates Tim. Even if I have to get used to some changes, there's a lot of improvements to be happy about.

I can copy the style to another name first, then make the changes. Then there would be options for left and right.

from a desktop browser? Yeah, it's just a slightly different feel. But the iphone interface seems to have changed quite a bit.

Yeah, the phone interface is radically different, but it's still hitting the same orange button as before for that particular function.

Yeah, when the tapatalk conversation was going on a week or so ago, and Derwood said he just browed the site directly on his phone, and that it was better than Tapatalk, I thought he was nuts.

 

But there's no question to me now that it's better. Tapatalk will be saved for other forums.

Yeah, when the tapatalk conversation was going on a week or so ago, and Derwood said he just browed the site directly on his phone, and that it was better than Tapatalk, I thought he was nuts.

 

But there's no question to me now that it's better. Tapatalk will be saved for other forums.

It's pretty good now, but I'm still rocking a 4S so Tapatalk has some hold over me still just from a size perspective as the links/buttons are a little larger. Once I upgrade to a larger screen though I think the lack of functionality in Tapatalk will be enough that I jump to the web version. Spoiler tags/gifs/polls... Lots of stuff you miss out on in Tapatalk.

One thing that is kind of weird on desktop is that the thread pages are listed on the opposite side as the thread title. Is there a way to get them next to each other? Makes it difficult to open to the most recent page, unless I'm missing something...

Any chance that there can be an option in the user profile to disable youtube embeds? Youtube is blocked for me at work, so I get giant warnings that I'm trying to access something I shouldn't...yadda yadda. I understand why many like that feature...just kind of a problem for me.

As others have said, the mobile site is worlds better than it was before and that's a pretty big deal. On pure aesthetics, I was using a custom style before so it's a significant difference now and I like that look better, but I can get used to this.

The good news is that rockettheme is now building 3.1.x phpbb styles, too. They should also be responsive and look good on mobile.
