It's funny that I'm more surprised when Ross gets a hit than someone like Herrera or any pitcher besides Lester.

which is a tad weird

you guys seem to think he's koyie hill or something.

His OPS vs. righties the last 2 years was lower than Koyie's career #s.

It's 150 PAs. I don't have much of a counter for you other than I think he's better than that (and a much more competent hitter than Koyie was). Or maybe he got old and he's actually as bad as those numbers. I don't know.

There is no maybe about it. You know. He did get old. He is 38. Whatever he did in his late 20s and early 30s is pretty much meaningless now.

The sample size and the peripherals say that's not as clear cut as you're saying.

Yes, there's a good chance that that's a big part of the explanation because of his age but there are a million potential reasons for those numbers, some of which are just noise.

How does the sample size suggest that is not clear?

He is 38. He is old. There is no getting around it.

Just when I'm thinking that Castro's swing looks out of whack, he does that.

This team is full of stupid today.

How is that stupid when there's one out with Ross + Lester coming up?
