This team is full of stupid today.

the baserunning has been stupid all year, it's just hurting them now

I don't hate that with 1 out and Ross & Lester coming up. I also didn't think Braun had that type of arm.

Yeah, the Cubs are totally losing this game.

it's a game against the brewers in may, relax

How is that stupid when there's one out?

It's a one run game and a single gets you a run with Starlin on second.

Again, that was not a stupid baserunning play with one out and Ross + Lester coming up next.

Just based on my faulty observations, the aggressive baserunning has helped a lot more than its hurt this year. This game is either a reflection of regression to the mean, or advanced scouting is catching up.

Or two outfield throws to third were strikes on a line, which is more of an outlier than anything

exactly. The chances of Ross getting another hit is pretty low and until proven otherwise, the chances of Lester getting a hit is exactly zero. Your best chance there is to get to third base and make it in when Ross makes an out. I don't think Braun makes that throw that many times out of ten tries.

Because of course Peralta is still sharp and hitting all his spots after 110 pitches.

Please don't [expletive] this up, Cubs.

With 1 out I don't think the upcoming hitters changes the math at all. Starlin/Jones made a split second decision and Braun made a good throw, learn from it next time that Starlin is not that fast/Braun has more arm strength than they thought.

Or just outs that happen sometimes when you do these things. Doesn't have to be either of those things.

We better win this game or else Maddon is going to have to answer to a lot of folks, right or wrong.

Oh come on, he doesn't have to answer to anyone. I have heard virtually no criticism of the aggressive baserunning this year until now.

I tend to think it's helped us more than it hurt us this year, but we've been getting lucky and in the long run we're going to run into way too many outs if we don't stop.

I hate having people in the booth. Having people sing doesn't bug me much, but I hate interrupting the broadcast like this.

That's what I'm saying...its seemingly worked more than you would expect it to this year and this is one of those games where it doesn't work.
