That squirrel gif... I laughed a lot.

It's really fun to be able to expect the Cubs to win every day. I know they will lose some games, but I think I will expect them to win every game for the next several years. And because that's more to do with the offense than the pitching... I think it's a rare thing in baseball these days.

I expect to enjoy it... a lot... :clapping:

This is another metaphor. The first squirrel is the old Cubs and the second squirrel is the new Cubs.

This squirrel is the rest of the league watching the Cubs...

Well, tonight's tickets sold faster than any this week and I didn't even have to lower the (already low) price in last day desperation.

Maybe the hype is picking up.

Gordon Wittenmyer @GDubCub

Cubs have back-to-back games in which pitchers walked none -- first time done that since 2004. Staff's 36 walks fewest in MLB.

Yeah.

We see pitches. We walk. We have untapped dong power. We strike guys out. We don't walk guys. We run the bases well. We field (sort of) adequately.

No.

I thought it was a mistype. I didn't know that was a thing.

Yeah, that's a definite Pittsburgh thing.

Braun is finally heating up for Milwaukee and they expect Gomez back on Saturday. But it isn't going to matter because they won't score enough runs to keep up with the machine that is the Cubs offense.

Some food for thought, especially considering that the Pirates got two framers that aren't terrific hitters this offseason.

@Ken_Rosenthal #Pirates, post-Martin, have allowed MLB-high 26 SBs. Rank 18th in CS percentage; 7th last season. Also last in walk rate; 6th last season.

Cervelli has been especially bad, 21/26 SB allowed in 16 starts. Granted, 6 of those steals are Billy Hamilton in the first series, and at least 3 of the 6 last night he had no chance to prevent, but I don't think all the attempts are a coincidence either.

Even Rizzo is basically running at will against Cervelli.

It's also protecting Russell from a particularly tough RHP and getting another LH bat in the lineup(one that hasn't played since last Friday).

Right, I wasn't thinking about the matchup with Cole. That makes sense.

He will prolly be 1st pinch hitter off the bench
