Taking a guess at the OD lineup now that we know who's up and down, mostly.

CF Fowler

RF Soler

1B Rizzo

SS Castro

C Montero

3B Olt

LF Coghlan

P Lester

2B Lastella

I'll guess

CF - Fowler

LF - Coghlan

1B - Rizzo

RF - Soler

SS - Castro

2B - Alcantara

3B - Olt

P - Lester

C - Montero

Could easily see Alcantara and Montero swap places.

I think they'll make it harder to bring in a sit lefty

CF - Fowler

LF - Coghlan

RF - Soler

1B - Rizzo

SS - Castro

C - Montero

3B - Olt

P - Lester

2B - Alcantara

What I'd like to see:

CF - Fowler

RF - Soler

1B - Rizzo

SS - Castro

LF - Coghlan

3B - Olt

C - Montero

P - Lester

2B - La Stella

I'd go with La Stella's contact skills vs Wainwright

If we're playing La Stella for matchup reasons, I'd prefer it be in place of Olt.

Good point.

Don't forget that Starlin Castro is lazy and has concentration issues.

I feel like that's more a local media thing than an ESPN one.

ESPN and Valentine practically created the narrative (which subsequently became a big thing locally)

It's certainly not just Chicago local. That is about all the Mets broadcasters will talk about during a Cubs game. And it has definitely been a huge topic when ESPN has shown the Cubs, although they probably haven't aired more than a handful of games during this pathetic run.

Semi apropos

This morning I heard a clip of Jon Miller and felt like I actually miss Miller and Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball (because nostalgia) despite the fact that I hated Morgan back then

The new ESPN crews aren't much better anyway

If I had to deal with Morgan more often it would bother me more that he's an idiot, but for 4-5 games a year I could have tolerated it

Not to mention that Miller is actually pretty good.

I'm probably wrong about this, but I think the first time I saw that crew do a Cubs game was the one game playoff. That's the earliest memorable one for me at least.

Decent chance they picked up a game in 98 before that, though, with Sosa doing what he was doing.

Wow. Lester hasn't seen the plate much in his career, and he's yet to record his first major league hit. Hope someone remembers to give him the ball when he gets his first hit with the Cubs.

Maddon hasn't decided if it will be Ross or Montero on Sunday catching Lester. (Or at least he's not telling)

Left out the rest of the quote. "We just know it sure as hell won't be Castillo."

Suppose liking it or not depends on what you thought was going to happen going in.

Edit on previous tweet: Maddon has decided on Ross or Montero but hasn't told the players yet (nor the media)

They're going to cover the bleacher area with something, correct? Hopefully?

Apparently they'll be covered with tarps of some sort that have images honoring Ernie Banks.
