patrick mooney seemed super plugged in last year and knew a lot of things in advance (including being the first to say assertively that he thought baez would be up to the majors early).

now most of his tweets are ripping the cubs for not starting bryant on opening day. seems like a dangerous game.

I wouldn't describe that as ripping. He's trying to be witty and I doubt the Cubs are going to cut off information because he compares the number of homeruns this March to the number of games he will play in AAA.

Hasn't he been okay until today? I'm willing to chalk today up to him being out of his routine with the late arrival to the game. Not that I have real high hopes for him, but I don't think he's near as bad as he was today.

Kris Bryant = Roy Hobbs.

@JPosnanski Not a perfect comparison. Hobbs slumped occasionally.

I was at his first start and while he gave up 0 ER, he did get lit up, it was just a couple errors (one by him) made the 4 runs unearned. He was hit hard that game.

Just to recap, Jaxon's final line today was: 1.2 IP, 9 H, 8 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 HR

Walk free. At least he was hitting the strike zone!

i don't really follow chicago sports media. isn't mooney supposed to be the good one, or am i thinking of somebody else?

I asked him. He's not sure. Maddon will answer soon RT @TURDxSANDWICH: @ESPNChiCubs late inning outfield work for Bryant today?
