If the Lions lose this game they should march on the League office in NYC. They have a defense that is good enough to hang with the Packers and Hawks and the best WR combo in the game (arguably). If they are eliminated from the playoffs due to a completely blown call it would be a real shame.

I don't think its that complex - if you are playing the ball and contact the receiver you are good; if you are face0-guarding the receiver (as opposed to going for the ball) and make contact, its interference.

The only reason I don't have a big problem with the flag being picked up was the receiver's tug on the LB's facemask right before the contact. I think that may have influenced the contact the LB made with the receiver. If he doesn't do that, there's no doubt in my mind it's DPI.

As for Christie, he doesn't have to win over decent normal humans. He has to win over conservatives. Cheering on oil barons and Texas is a good start.
